Touch Revolution announced today it will be expanding its industry leading TRū Projected Capacitive Multi-Touch Monitor line with additions to its series of wide-screen displays.
The product line now includes four displays, a 15.6-, 18.5-, 21.5- and 32-inch option designed to meet the needs of OEMs, distributors and integrators ready to make the leap from single-touch to multi-touch applications, according to a company press release.

"As companies within the vertical markets begin to transition from traditional single-touch applications to increasingly popular multi-touch applications, there is a trend to move away from the legacy 4:3 and 5:4 screen aspect ratios and Touch Revolution is poised with a line of touch displays that make this migration easier," said Gene Halsey, TRū Product Line director. "Our displays help bridge the gap between traditional single-touch systems and elegant multi-touch solutions," added Halsey.

Modern industrial design

The new TRū P-Cap Wide-Screen Monitor offers a bezel-free design that is easy to maintain and use in environments ranging from kiosks and digital signage to factory floors and health care.

Desktop versions will be equipped with a sturdy, minimalist matte-black stand and all units will feature easy plug-and-play integration, Windows 7 certification, open source drivers and available Linux support.

The monitors will have a 16:9 screen aspect ratio that is easy to deploy in either a landscape or portrait orientation. Built for quality, responsiveness, visual appeal and durability, these displays are the perfect complement to any multi-touch interactive solution, said Tom Leonard, president.

"The incredible success and popularity of smart phones has created a new set of touch gestures that are beginning to be adopted across the vertical markets," Leonard said in the release. "As application development velocity increases, more and more companies are making the switch to multi-touch displays and at the same time shedding the legacy look for more modern, streamlined wide-screen displays," continued Leonard
