Titan Industries, an India-based producer and retailer of watches and jewelry, plans to open 50 ‘World of Titan’ stores by the end of this fiscal year. Titan operates over 331 exclusive 'World of Titan' showrooms, over 83 Fastrack stores, more than 130 Tanishq boutiques and Zoya stores and over 30 Gold Plus stores.

The watch division of the company, with brands like Titan, Fastrack, Xylys, Sonata as well as the children's brand Zoop, aims to clock 24% growth in sales for 2012-13, reported Business Standard.

During the opening of a second store in Cuttack in the Indian state of Orissa, Titan Industries sales and retail head S Natarajan told the newspaper that the company is exploring places like Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Berhampur to expand network.

Titan Industries is a joint venture between India-based Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation.

The company has reported 35.5% growth in sales from watch and jewelry divisions in 2011-12.
