Samsung Electronics has opened a luxury shop in London's Selfridges as part of its move to grow its premium shop-in-shop offering. The bespoke 150 metre-square space stocks Samsung's premium products including smart TVs, home cinema, cameras and smart phones and also features a consultation area where customers can try new technology.Samsung has also trained a full time staff member to demonstrate the products to customers, and to show how different technologies work together. Commenting on the opening of the shop, Robert King, vice president of consumer electronics, at Samsung UK and Ireland, said: "Samsung is focused on the creation of bespoke, high-end retail spaces in key stores. This complements the development of our own brand store in Westfield. By creating a more lifestyle-led shopping experience, we are better able to help customers understand the benefits of our technology and appreciate the cutting edge design of our new products." Samsung has committed to the Selfridges retail space for three years. |
